According to a recent poll in the UK, Wuthering Heights was named as the best romantic novel of all time. Emily Bronte's tale of obsessive love between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, set on the Yorkshire moors, beat out Jane Austen's romantic comedy of manners, Pride and Prejudice, the much loved story of the developing romance between Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy.
